Snow Leopards are undoubtedly one of the most
beautiful of the Big Cats. The colour combination of
light and medium greys and warm creamy grey colours
allied with the disruptive spot patterns allow the Snow
Leopard to virtually disappear into the landscape of its
natural habitat in Central Asia.
I have depicted this female with a diffused green forest
background, as Snow Leopards descend from high
altitudes to follow their prey species when winter sets
in. In summer they range above the tree line, sightings
have been reported up to 16,000 feet.
